MarketWars is published by KCG Media LLC, a Michigan company. This policy explains what information the app collects and how it is used.
Information We Collect
- Account information: your email address and the trader name you choose when you create an account.
- Game progress: your portfolio, tokens, cards, achievements, and other progress, saved so you can restore it on any device.
- Crash reports: if the app crashes or hits an error, technical details such as your device model, operating system, and app version are sent so we can fix the problem.
- Gameplay activity: when you open the app, we record your trader name, device type, level, and token balance. We also record what you buy in the shop with tokens and your Empire Campaign activity. We use this to understand how the game is played and to fix problems.
What Other Players Can See
Your trader name, level, and rankings appear on leaderboards and House standings. Your email address is never shown to other players.
How We Use Your Information
We use it to run your account, save your progress, operate leaderboards and Houses, fix bugs, and respond to support requests.
Who We Share It With
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run the app: Supabase (account and game data storage) and Sentry (crash reporting). Market prices come from Alpaca (stocks) and CoinGecko (cryptocurrency). Those price requests contain only the stock and coin symbols being looked up and never include your account information.
Keeping and Deleting Your Data
We keep your information while your account is active. To delete your account, email support@marketwarsgame.com from the email address on your account. We will remove your account information and game data, and any copies in routine backups are removed as those backups expire.
Children
MarketWars is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
